Tall Bearded Iris: The goal in hybridizing is to bring to market a cultivar that is either unique, or a measurable improvement upon what has already been introduced. Tiki Bar’s Open is an example of the latter. It’s strikingly similar to the Barry Blyth cultivar Let’s Romp, long a favorite here. But by packing two to three more buds on a taller stalk than its close color friend, Tiki Bar’s Open makes the cut as a measurable improvement in its color class.
