Outer Banks

Outer Banks is a tall bearded iris distinguished by its striking bi-tone coloration, belonging to the purple-washed amoena class. Its tall stature and boldly flaring falls create a dramatic presence best appreciated in person, as photographs often fail to capture their full effect. The starch-white standards are somewhat closed, while the flowers vibrant ruffles add dynamic texture. A purple wash extends toward the falls edges, which are softly trimmed with a quarter-inch lavender border. The flowers interior glows with gold, highlighted by gold style arms, beards, and hafts, giving Outer Banks a captivating charm. Named after the historic islands off North Carolinas coast, this iris reflects their natural beauty and timeless appeal.
