Off Hours

 After spending all day out in the seedling fields, it can be hard for an iris to capture one’s attention. So it was with Off Hours, which was lost in the sea of seedlings all competing for consideration. But in an off hours evening garden stroll, flanked by bursts of Columbine and Thalictrum, this aforementioned delight finally captured our attention. Its washed and flaring falls with golden hafts were not to be missed. The attractive fading of its falls added contrast only took an off hours glance to secure our gaze. This late-season bloomer produces eight buds per stalk and is a remarkably strong grower # E551-B.
