Description
Tall Bearded Iris: In 1925, while F. Scott Fitzgerald was busy publishing the great American novel? The Great Gatsby, FX Schreiner was busy publishing his first price list using the name Schreiner’s Iris Gardens. A century later, the legacy of both men endures in their respective ways. No doubt, FX would have marveled at the large, well-formed flowers of our Gatsby. After all, nothing makes a bolder statement in the garden than a golden-yellow iris. But notice the subtle dollop of white which encases the beards and functions to soften the flower’s punch of yellow. Standing 40″ tall and carrying eight buds per stalk, Gatsby would be a fine accompaniment to the blue gardens of its very namesake. Unknown parentage.
